Powaqqatsi: Life inside Transformation is the 1988 sequel to the experimental 1983 documentary film Koyaanisqatsi, by Godfrey Reggio.
Powaqqatsi occurs as Hopi word meaning "parasitic way of life" or even "life in transition". When Koyaanisqatsi focused around modern life in industrial countries, Powaqqatsi, which likewise has there are no dialogue, focuses supplementary on the conflict within third world countries between traditional ways of life and a freshly ways of life introduced using industrial enterprise.
When using Koyaanisqatsi & a third & final a share of the 'Qatsi' trilogy, Naqoyqatsi, the film is strongly related (& depending on) its soundtrack, written by Philip Glass.
